What you’ll learn

Training at St Martins Karate Carnforth combines traditional karate with practical, varied sessions designed for different ages and levels of experience.

Basics & technique

Stances, punches, blocks, kicks and combinations, with attention to good form and control.

Kata

Traditional patterns that develop technique, balance, coordination and understanding.

Partner work & pads

Controlled drills, pad work and practical partner exercises that build timing, accuracy and confidence.

Sparring & mat work

Structured sparring and, where appropriate, supervised takedown and mat-based practice.

An established karate tradition

St Martins Karate Carnforth continues a long-standing karate tradition in the area, with roots in the former Carnforth Karate Club and the wider St Martins Karate Group. Our training reflects the standards, values and experience passed down through generations of instructors, while remaining welcoming and relevant for today’s students.

The club is part of St Martins Karate Group and shares its wider heritage with St Martins Junior Karate Club.
